Tell me about the Genocide in Darfur?

Ok... so there's always been tension toward the people in the south of Sudan because they have really good land. However, the north didn't do anything about it until 2003, when the south rebelled against the government (which is Arab - the others are not). The government hired a militia called the Janjaweed (Arab militants) to subdue the rebellion, but now the Janjaweed are just killing, burning, pillaging, raping, etc, regardless of the peoples' religion or location.
