Is this world heavyweight replica a fake or real?

It's not necessarily fake just because it's cheap. I think the seller's being honest about the materials used, and it's probably just a lower cost replica. I would think it's made for people who think it'd be cool to have a championship belt, but don't want to spend $200+. It sounds like you're in that category. I'd go for it if I were you.
