Pentecostalism and Supernatural (TV series)?

I'm a Pentecostal, but recently, I've been intriqued by Supernatural, the show on the CW. A friend of mine, heavily rooted in the faith, believes I should stop watching the show because it's rooted in the occult, and it promotes evil. I'm slightly skeptical about his answer because although Dean and Sam use unusual methods, they're battling AGAINST evil with exorcisms, holy rituals, and other things. What do all of you think? Should I stop watching?
